New years resolutions? January 4, 2009

I’ve been having a think this past week if I want to make any resolutions and if so, how many. I have come up with a few so far…

  • To keep fit – start and keep up some fitness regime. At the moment I’m thinking of Yoga specifically on the Wii fit. Yoga was something I’ve done before and I like the idea of taking it up again – in the comfort of my own home.

  • To look after myself more. This is three fold

To take my make up off every night before bed (no one is getting any younger)

To keep my roots touch-ups and hair cuts regular as well as getting it dyed properly rather than “bunging a dye on myself”

To moisturise my legs every day! I suffer form really dry legs and neglect the moisturiser

  • To see more of my friends.. This is something I started to make a point of doing more towards the end of last year and I intend to keep this up. Jade is moving out in a couple of weeks so it will be easier to drop in and catch up with her more. Carl is getting more sociable and our group of friends is expanding which is nice. More friends = more people to see! With the recordable Virgin box on order missing programmes wont be a problem now either.. So no need to rush off home to catch something on the Telly

  • To relax even more with regards to diet. Last year I really started relaxing about what I eat when.. for example not just living on pasta and salads when going out, but cooking proper meals like mum would of done at home. We eat loads more stuff now. This year I want to concentrate on times that we eat.. I get into a bit of a routine and like to eat about 6 when I have work to give food time to digest. This is bollocks and I don’t know where I’ve gotten this idea from. I want to relax about times and if its 7 when we eat then so be it! This will mean I wont break my neck to get home from work in time to get dinner on to have it ready for 6.00.

  • Save more money. I currently have £0 in my personal savings which is no good! I spend too much on shoes and crap.. And while I’m not making a resolution to cut out the crap buying I do intend to put some money away every now and again – if only to treat myself to something bigger
  •

  • To pay off a big chunk of my car. Hopefully with the new job and pay rise I should be able to save to pay off a lot if not all of my car loan this year.
