Ally

Hi, I’m Ally, I’m 25 and I like with my long term (almost 9 years) boyfriend Carl and our two house rabbits – Colin and Fifi Lapin.  They are crazy! Life at the moment is generally good.

Work wise I have just recently been promoted to Finance Manager at work, its a tempory thing for the time being, but who knows what the future will hold.  I am nervous about being a manager but I will do my best.  I am a total geek, I like technology (I have an unnatural bond with my N95), and I like numbers, problem solving and making lists and that’s just in my spare time.  I’m really organised and anal about most things.

I also like to play on the computers we have at home… Guitar Hero is a firm favorite and I can often be found wither rocking out at home or showing off at friend’s houses! I’ve recently been brought a Wii Fit and plan on getting into Yoga.

I like listening to music, my tastes vary from pop to glamrock, cheesy 80’s disco and my favorite indie/rock.  I like to go to see live bands and dancing madly in the with the volume rocked up.

I was diagnosed with IBS in 2006, and have endless problems with my tummy.  I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago and have since accepted my appearance.  I still have “skinny” days but on a whole I’m happier in skin than I have been for a long while.  Its still frustrating when I can’t get trousers to fit, but I’ve come to think that one day when I am old, grey and saggy I will regret not making the most of my flat-arse – even if it does come with a flat-chest!  As a result of my IBS I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety.  Getting to work is sometimes a struggle but I will not let it beat me.  I don’t like eating out, I don’t drink anymore as I prefer to drive myself everywhere, I will not contemplate a holiday but oddly I am happy.  My friends are fantastic, each and everyone of them understands me and doesn’t treat me like I’m a freak.  Them being so cool makes me relax which means that I enjoy spending time with them, rather than being on edge all the time.

I quit smoking on the 7th October 2006 on instruction from the doctor to put on weight, it didn’t work but I’ve saved a shit load of cash and have loads more shoes!
