Here’s a list of my nearest and dearest, I’ll be chatting about them from time to time!

Carl aka the fella

Carl has been my boyfriend for 7 years we got together on 01.04.00 when I was almost 17.  I actually used to go out with one of Carl’s friends and as soon as we split up Carl was there pestering me to start “C-in him” to quote the texts!  We met each other down the Rez or “bazza’s” (don’t ask) as we used to call it – where I used to hang out with my mates and get bladdered on a Friday night.  Me and Carl have had our fair share of shit over the years, but we’ve always put it behind us.  We split up for two months in October 04 but got back together and now things are stronger than ever.  We’ve just brought our first house together and should be moving in in about 7/8 weeks.  I’ve never been more exited and more nervous in my whole life and I cannot think of anyone better to share this journey with.

Jade aka the best mate

Jade is my longest standing friend and what I would call my best friend.  I have known her since I moved to Mansfield from Sutton when I was 10.  She lives in the house behind me so our bed-rooms face each other (I always know when she’s in – or stopping up late).  We’ve had our fair share of up’s and down’s over the years but have always been there for each other (even when we’ve been months without talking to each other).  She’s 2 years younger than me, and even though she is perfectly capable of looking after herself I have an overwhelming urge to protect her from the evils of the world and stupid boys!  I don’t think it’s because she’s younger than me I just think it’s because I care about her so much! Anyway, we’ll be friends for ever and ever, and she’s the business! 

Emma aka the mother hen

Emma was initially my friend from work.  We shared an office from day 1 and quickly became great friends.  She took me under her wing and taught me the wonders of the world (at 18 I thought I was pretty educated – how wrong I was!)  She no longer works with me but we still see each other all the time.  She has the most beautiful daughter Emilee who has grown up so much! I can’t believe she’s 3, almost 4 (in May 06) I can remember when she was a few days old! Anyway! Back to Emma…. she always tells it straight and doesn’t say things she doesn’t mean. You can guarantee you’ll get an honest answer from her which I love! She’s had a hard time but always come’s through smiling! I am impressed by her will power at times and she will always always have my love and respect. She’s been a rock for me and I will be eternally grateful. 

Laura aka long standing friend and gig buddy

Laura’s been a friend for many many years; I can remember the first time we met in TK Maxx car park!  We got to chatting and quickly became good friends.  Doing luncheon (remember we used to call it that?) and shopping most Saturdays! We don’t so the lunch so much anymore, but we still do the shopping!! We have so different tastes in clothes we never fight over the same item which is great!  We’ve recently started going to gigs together – and I hope next year we will continue to do so!  She’s a great all round friend – shopping, gigs, drinking, gossip, serious chat, and is always there to provide a shoulder to cry on or moan to, she’s one of the best friends I have! Oh and has the best Jelly legs ever!

Jay aka Tibzzy

Jay I met through Laura years ago (and I was never able to get rid of him!) ha! Seriously though he’s amazing… he’s my best guy-friend.  He’s a wonderful person and has such a kind heart!  We share a love of David Hasselhoff… yes that’s right THE HOFF.  On a serious note though I think the world of him, and I really value his friendship.  I can’t put it into words really, so I’ll simply say that I love him.  He’s just in the process of buying a house so were going to be grown ups together!

Michelle aka Chelle

Chelle has very quickly become a really good friend of mine and we e-mail daily.  Her and her partner Matt are going to have a baby in a few months time and I’m made up for them.  Chelle and I bonded quickly and has been such a great friend these past few months (with lots of grown up advice) I know were going to be friends for the foreseeable future! Yay!

Lynz aka the Boss

 

Lynz is my supervisor at work, but I love her!! She loves glitz and glitter just as much as me!  Were forever gossiping at work, and I know that when I (eventually) leave she’ll still be a true friend to me.  She’s married with 2 children but still as silly as me (love it). 

Nicola aka Nic Nic

 

Nic is a buddy from work who’s a grown up!  She a wonderful person and helps me out with the grown up things I need doing, like filling in job application forms!  She’s a calming influence to me and makes me think things through before acting, and shows me that things aren’t always as bad as they initially seem. 

Kristy

Kristy is a friend who I met through Chelle at an Ann Summers party.  We sat next to each other and bonded over the crotchless tights!  As with Chelle we e-mail daily (an e-mail from Kristy keeps me sane).  We’ve instantly hit it off and chat about anything and everything which is fantastic, its great to find new friends! 

Zac  Zac is a friend from work and I love him to bits!! I see more of him than I do my own boyfriend!!  He’s a sensitive sole and I tease him loads but he knows I don’t mean it (and he can give as good as he gets!).  When leave work in a few weeks im going to miss him terribly, but I know we’ll stay firm friends!

Others I have loads of other friends but I can’t list them all… Katie, Kate, Leeann, Stephen, Nathan, Phil to name but a few.  You’ll see comments from Fiona, Wiggy, and Olly I imagine (or at least hope) Fiona iv know for a while through town – she’s loud and opinionated but that’s what I like, she’s also a book-swapping buddy!  Wiggy is more an online friend, but I have met him in real life through the car club Maxxd.  We chat usually once a week and is a sound lad; hopefully I‘ll get to know him better.  And finally Olly or Ol$tar is the owner of Maxxd.  I don’t know him that well but he’s a sound lad, and always come and says hello!
